Van Cleef & Arpels x By Charlot Ceramic Watering Can - Portugal
A quietly charming object born from a rare collaboration between Van Cleef & Arpels and the Parisian botanical atelier By Charlot this ceramic watering can was created as an exclusive gift for select clients.
Not available through traditional retail channels, pieces like this exist in a more intimate tier of luxury designed to accompany a lifestyle rather than be purchased outright.
Rendered in a soft, matte ceramic with hand-painted vertical stripes in warm and fresh tones ochre, citrus yellow, sage green, and terracotta the form is both sculptural and playful. The proportions are thoughtfully balanced, with a gently curved spout and integrated handle that feels almost architectural in its simplicity.
Marked discreetly on the underside “by charlot for Van Cleef & Arpels – Made in Portugal,” it carries both the refinement of French design sensibility and the craftsmanship of European ceramic tradition.
Whether used as intended, as a vase, or styled as an object on a shelf or tabletop, it brings a sense of lightness and quiet luxury something between utility and ornament.

Who Are You Buying From?
Every object here has a journey before it ever reaches you. I've spent years seeking these pieces out, in back rooms of old ateliers, from families who've inherited more than they can keep, through dealers I've come to trust, in conversations with people who still work with their hands, because I've always believed the things we choose to live with should carry something true. What began as a private obsession became a devotion, one I now share with my wife and daughter, who remind me daily that the best collections are the ones built to be passed down, not simply owned. What you're holding isn't just an object. You're inheriting its story, and becoming part of its next chapter.
