Ralph Lauren Clermont Race Car Sculpture with Chrome Finish
Found in United States
This Ralph Lauren Clermont race car is treated as pure sculpture: a single, unbroken resin form finished in brilliant polished chrome, with no stripes, numbers or badges to interrupt the silhouette. The body is long and torpedo shaped, swelling into rounded fender pods at the front and back and tapering to a smooth, pointed nose, recalling the streamlined record breakers of early motor racing.
Where the matte version reads as shadow, this chrome finish does the opposite, throwing sharp highlights and mirrored reflections across every curve of the body. A small oval opening on the top marks the cockpit, the only detail on an otherwise seamless form, which keeps the eye moving along the sculpture's lines.
The object is cast in resin and finished in chrome, which gives it a pleasing, substantial feel and a true mirrored shine while keeping it far lighter than a solid chrome plated metal casting would be. At 14 x 5 1/2 x 3 1/4 inches, it has real presence on a console, bookshelf or desk without taking over the space.
A rare piece from Ralph Lauren's automobile inspired objects, this chrome finished edition is a striking, high shine counterpart to the matte black version, and a strong pick for anyone who collects car themed design.

Who Are You Buying From?
Every object here has a journey before it ever reaches you. I've spent years seeking these pieces out, in back rooms of old ateliers, from families who've inherited more than they can keep, through dealers I've come to trust, in conversations with people who still work with their hands, because I've always believed the things we choose to live with should carry something true. What began as a private obsession became a devotion, one I now share with my wife and daughter, who remind me daily that the best collections are the ones built to be passed down, not simply owned. What you're holding isn't just an object. You're inheriting its story, and becoming part of its next chapter.
