Puiforcat built its reputation on silver forms that favor pure geometry over ornament, and this candy dish is a good example of that restraint. The body is a low, rounded disc in silver plate, its surface left smooth and unadorned so the eye goes straight to the lid's finial rather than any surface decoration.
That finial is a polished sphere of semi-precious stone in deep mottled red, set atop a stepped, ribbed silver collar that gives the otherwise plain dish a real focal point. The stone's natural veining means the color and pattern shift slightly around the sphere, so no two angles look quite the same.
At 3 1/2 inches in diameter and 2 3/8 inches tall, it is a compact piece, well suited to holding candy, small jewelry, or other trinkets on a vanity or coffee table. The scale and rounded silhouette make it easy to place without dominating a surface.
Made in France, this piece carries the quiet, material-forward design sensibility Puiforcat is known for, and works equally well as a small functional dish or a standalone decorative object.

Who Are You Buying From?
Every object here has a journey before it ever reaches you. I've spent years seeking these pieces out, in back rooms of old ateliers, from families who've inherited more than they can keep, through dealers I've come to trust, in conversations with people who still work with their hands, because I've always believed the things we choose to live with should carry something true. What began as a private obsession became a devotion, one I now share with my wife and daughter, who remind me daily that the best collections are the ones built to be passed down, not simply owned. What you're holding isn't just an object. You're inheriting its story, and becoming part of its next chapter.
