Just Andersen Denmark Disko Metal Moon Bud Vase Model D 2317
Found in United States
A sculptural Danish disko metal vase designed by Just Andersen, one of the most celebrated figures in early twentieth-century Scandinavian decorative arts. Known as the "Moon Vase," Model D2317 features a distinctive rounded body accented by finely ribbed vertical fluting and a geometric square neck that creates a striking contrast between soft curves and architectural lines.
Produced in Denmark during the Art Deco period, this elegant design exemplifies Andersen's mastery of form and proportion. The vase's compact scale makes it particularly versatile, functioning beautifully as a bud vase, shelf accent, or decorative object displayed on its own. The rich pewter surface develops a nuanced patina over time, enhancing the sculptural quality that has made Andersen's designs highly sought after by collectors of Danish modernism and Art Deco metalwork.
Whether incorporated into a contemporary interior or a carefully curated collection of Scandinavian decorative arts, this vase offers timeless design appeal and a strong decorative presence despite its modest size.

Who Are You Buying From?
Every object here has a journey before it ever reaches you. I've spent years seeking these pieces out, in back rooms of old ateliers, from families who've inherited more than they can keep, through dealers I've come to trust, in conversations with people who still work with their hands, because I've always believed the things we choose to live with should carry something true. What began as a private obsession became a devotion, one I now share with my wife and daughter, who remind me daily that the best collections are the ones built to be passed down, not simply owned. What you're holding isn't just an object. You're inheriting its story, and becoming part of its next chapter.
