Italian Animal Head Stirrup Coupes - Set of 6
Found in France
A wonderfully eccentric set of six vintage Italian stirrup coupes, each combining a polished silver-tone bowl with a sculptural animal head rendered in detailed relief. Inspired by traditional equestrian stirrup cups, the pieces invert to reveal their animal forms and turn upright to become elegant pedestal coupes.
The assortment features a variety of sporting and woodland animals, giving each coupe its own character while maintaining a cohesive set. The contrast between the highly polished bowls and textured animal heads lends them a particularly handsome, collected quality.
While rooted in the tradition of stirrup cups used for celebratory drinks before a hunt, their coupe form makes them especially versatile for entertaining today. Use them for cocktails, champagne, sorbet, or—perhaps best of all—individual ice cream coupes. They would also make memorable vessels for nuts, candies, or other small desserts at the table.
Made in Italy, the set bridges equestrian design, barware, and decorative objects in a way that feels equally at home displayed on a bar, tucked into a cabinet, or brought out for dessert.

Who Are You Buying From?
Every object here has a journey before it ever reaches you. I've spent years seeking these pieces out, in back rooms of old ateliers, from families who've inherited more than they can keep, through dealers I've come to trust, in conversations with people who still work with their hands, because I've always believed the things we choose to live with should carry something true. What began as a private obsession became a devotion, one I now share with my wife and daughter, who remind me daily that the best collections are the ones built to be passed down, not simply owned. What you're holding isn't just an object. You're inheriting its story, and becoming part of its next chapter.
