An elegant pair of vintage Hermes cufflinks in 800 silver, designed around a sculptural rope motif and retained with their original Hermes presentation box.

Each cufflink is formed as a loop of twisted rope, its deeply modeled surface creating a rhythmic pattern of alternating highlights and shadows. The rope folds inward to create an elongated teardrop-shaped opening before being gathered at the base by a series of horizontal bands. The result is simultaneously nautical, equestrian, and architectural—references that sit naturally within the broader decorative language of Hermes.

Rather than incorporating a conspicuous logo, the design relies on workmanship and recognizable House codes. It is this quieter category of vintage Hermes accessory that can be especially interesting to collect: objects created to be used rather than immediately recognized.
