A refined example of Hermes desk and smoking accessories, this cylindrical cigarette box is finished in a finely engine-turned guilloche pattern, its lid decorated by a brass horseshoe-shaped relief that echo the house's equestrian heritage in miniature. Lift the lid and it releases cleanly to reveal a gilt interior, divided into quarters that help keep cigarettes upright and organized.
Like several other Hermes silver objects from this era, the piece was crafted in collaboration with Ravinet d'Enfert, one of the storied French silversmithing houses that produced fine tableware and decorative silver for Hermes and other Parisian maisons.
The horseshoe motif on the lid is a subtle nod to Hermes's origins as a saddlery and harness maker, translated here into a piece equally at home on a desk, bar cart, or vanity. Whether used for its intended purpose or repurposed to hold jewelry, matches, or small keepsakes, the box brings genuine polish to any surface it occupies.
A well made and distinctive object, this cigarette box rewards collectors who appreciate both Hermes's design language and the fine craftsmanship of the French ateliers behind it.

Who Are You Buying From?
Every object here has a journey before it ever reaches you. I've spent years seeking these pieces out, in back rooms of old ateliers, from families who've inherited more than they can keep, through dealers I've come to trust, in conversations with people who still work with their hands, because I've always believed the things we choose to live with should carry something true. What began as a private obsession became a devotion, one I now share with my wife and daughter, who remind me daily that the best collections are the ones built to be passed down, not simply owned. What you're holding isn't just an object. You're inheriting its story, and becoming part of its next chapter.
