Hermes Guilloche Ashtray with Brass Applied Horseshoe by Ravinet d'Enfert

This Hermes guilloche ashtray shares the same finely engine-turned surface and brass horseshoe detail as the matching cigarette box, together forming a cohesive and clearly considered smoking and desk accessory suite. Each dish is shallow with a horseshoe-shaped rim in gold-tone brass that curves gently around the edge, a subtle equestrian reference rendered in miniature.

Like the cigarette box, this ashtray was produced in collaboration with Ravinet d'Enfert, the noted French silversmithing house responsible for a number of fine Hermes decorative objects from this era.

This ashtray works beautifully used as intended, or repurposed as ring dishes, catchalls for loose change and small jewelry, or simply displayed as a piece of objet. It's scale makes it versatile across a desk, vanity, or bar setup that most objects cannot offer.

A polished and genuinely well preserved piece for collectors of Hermes silver and French mid-century decorative objects.
