Hermes Folding Magnifying Glass Loupe - 2001
Found in Canada
A rare and highly collectible folding magnifying glass loupe by Hermes, created in 2001 as a compact functional object blending precision engineering with minimalist design. Constructed in brushed metal with geometric cutouts and a concealed folding mechanism, the piece collapses into an exceptionally slim profile when closed.
Once opened, the loupe reveals a beautifully architectural form part optical tool, part sculptural desk object. Engraved with the phrase “Hermes 2001 Looking for the Beauty of the Earth,” it reflects the maison’s fascination with craftsmanship, travel, and thoughtful utility.
Compact enough to carry in a pocket yet substantial enough to display on a desk or bookshelf, this rare Hermes accessory exemplifies the understated ingenuity that makes the house’s smaller objects so collectible.
Comes with brown suede Hermes pouch.

Who Are You Buying From?
Every object here has a journey before it ever reaches you. I've spent years seeking these pieces out, in back rooms of old ateliers, from families who've inherited more than they can keep, through dealers I've come to trust, in conversations with people who still work with their hands, because I've always believed the things we choose to live with should carry something true. What began as a private obsession became a devotion, one I now share with my wife and daughter, who remind me daily that the best collections are the ones built to be passed down, not simply owned. What you're holding isn't just an object. You're inheriting its story, and becoming part of its next chapter.
