A classic pair of vintage Hermes Chaine d'Ancre cufflinks crafted in 800 silver and accompanied by their original Hermes presentation box. The cufflinks distill one of the Maison's most enduring designs into a compact and exceptionally wearable piece of men's jewelry.
The elongated oval form is divided at its center by a single vertical bar, immediately recalling the anchor-chain link from which the Chaine d'Ancre motif takes its name. Smoothly polished rather than heavily ornamented, the cufflinks have a sculptural simplicity that allows the geometry of the design to take precedence.
The Chaine d'Ancre was created for Hermes by Robert Dumas in 1938 after observing anchor chains during a seaside holiday. It has since become one of the Maison's defining jewelry motifs, repeatedly interpreted across bracelets, rings, accessories, and objects. Hermès continues to identify the design with its maritime inspiration and the interplay between strength and balance.
These vintage examples are rendered in 800 silver, giving them a slightly softer, warmer character than highly polished contemporary pieces. Their understated proportions make them equally appropriate with formal tailoring or a more relaxed shirt.
With their original Hermes box, they are an especially appealing example of a House icon in vintage form.

Who Are You Buying From?
Every object here has a journey before it ever reaches you. I've spent years seeking these pieces out, in back rooms of old ateliers, from families who've inherited more than they can keep, through dealers I've come to trust, in conversations with people who still work with their hands, because I've always believed the things we choose to live with should carry something true. What began as a private obsession became a devotion, one I now share with my wife and daughter, who remind me daily that the best collections are the ones built to be passed down, not simply owned. What you're holding isn't just an object. You're inheriting its story, and becoming part of its next chapter.
