A particularly striking vintage vide poche combining vivid emerald-green glass with a broad hammered brass surround. The thick molded glass body is punctuated by a rhythmic series of pointed geometric projections, which extend beyond the brass band and create a dramatic profile reminiscent of a crown or architectural frieze.
A wide hand-hammered brass collar wraps the center of the piece, its irregular surface providing a textural counterpoint to the smooth transparency of the glass. Light passing through the emerald body intensifies the color around the projecting points and base, giving the object an almost jewel-like quality.
The piece has considerable decorative presence without requiring much scale, making it especially effective on a bar, side table or stack of books. Originally suited to use as an ashtray or vide poche, its combination of saturated glass and worked metal makes it just as successful today as a purely decorative object.

Who Are You Buying From?
Every object here has a journey before it ever reaches you. I've spent years seeking these pieces out, in back rooms of old ateliers, from families who've inherited more than they can keep, through dealers I've come to trust, in conversations with people who still work with their hands, because I've always believed the things we choose to live with should carry something true. What began as a private obsession became a devotion, one I now share with my wife and daughter, who remind me daily that the best collections are the ones built to be passed down, not simply owned. What you're holding isn't just an object. You're inheriting its story, and becoming part of its next chapter.
