Dunhill built this travel cigar cutter to disappear into a pocket or hang from a keyring, its compact rectangular body covered entirely in a fine engine turned diamond pattern that gives real grip alongside its good looks. A folding suspension ring sits at one side, allowing it to attach easily to a keychain or watch chain.

When opened, the cutter extends by roughly 1.5 centimeters, revealing a curved cutting edge sized to neatly trim a cigar or cigarillo cap. The mechanism closes flush against the body when not in use, keeping the piece slim and pocket friendly.

Hallmarked and dated to 1953, this is a genuinely functional piece of English silver from a maker best known for exactly this kind of finely made, portable accessory. Its compact scale and clean design make it equally suitable for a man or woman to carry.

Made in England, this is a well proportioned, practical piece for a cigar enthusiast, and a nice example of Dunhill's smaller silver accessories beyond the brand's better known lighters and cases.

Collectors Notes

English silver smoking accessories like this Dunhill cutter round out our Silver collection nicely alongside the French pieces we tend to carry more of.

Its small size and keyring ring make it as practical today as it would have been in 1953, and an easy pick from our Luxury Gifts for Men selection or our Accessories edit.

Who Are You Buying From?

Every object here has a journey before it ever reaches you. I've spent years seeking these pieces out, in back rooms of old ateliers, from families who've inherited more than they can keep, through dealers I've come to trust, in conversations with people who still work with their hands, because I've always believed the things we choose to live with should carry something true. What began as a private obsession became a devotion, one I now share with my wife and daughter, who remind me daily that the best collections are the ones built to be passed down, not simply owned. What you're holding isn't just an object. You're inheriting its story, and becoming part of its next chapter.
