Duck Serving Tray in Pewter - Made in Mexico

Name: Duck Serving Tray in Pewter - Made in Mexico
Brand: Collectors Gene
Price: 330.00 USD
Availability: OutOfStock

A sculptural serving piece that blurs the line between utility and object. Cast in heavy pewter, this elongated tray takes the form of a stylized duck—its head rising at one end, its tail subtly fanned at the other, creating a natural sense of movement across the silhouette.

The surface carries a soft, time-earned patina, with gentle variations that catch the light differently throughout the day. There’s a quiet honesty to the material—unpretentious, but deeply tactile—hallmarks of traditional Mexican pewter work.

Balanced in proportion and weight, it feels as considered in the hand as it does on a table. Decorative without excess, and functional without feeling purely utilitarian.

Collectors Notes

Pieces like this often find their way into daily use almost unintentionally. While originally intended for serving—small bites, olives, or citrus—it transitions effortlessly into a catchall for a bar, a resting place for keys, or even a standalone decorative accent.

There’s also something to be said for its presence when left empty. The form itself carries enough character to hold attention without needing to be filled.

A natural fit for those who appreciate objects that feel both grounded and quietly expressive.

It's a fitting addition to our Home Decor collection, and a grounded Housewarming Gifts pick.

Who Are You Buying From?

Every object here has a journey before it ever reaches you. I've spent years seeking these pieces out, in back rooms of old ateliers, from families who've inherited more than they can keep, through dealers I've come to trust, in conversations with people who still work with their hands, because I've always believed the things we choose to live with should carry something true. What began as a private obsession became a devotion, one I now share with my wife and daughter, who remind me daily that the best collections are the ones built to be passed down, not simply owned. What you're holding isn't just an object. You're inheriting its story, and becoming part of its next chapter.
