Daniel Hechter Red Racecar Vide Poche in Bone China
Found in United States
A distinctive vintage vide poche designed by Daniel Hechter in France and expertly manufactured in Japan, featuring an elegant illustration of a classic red racecar framed by a bold crimson border. Blending French design sensibilities with exceptional Japanese craftsmanship, the tray captures the refined modernism that defined luxury home accessories of the late twentieth century.
Perfectly proportioned for keys, jewelry, watches, decor, or other everyday essentials, this porcelain catchall brings a subtle automotive influence to an entryway, office, or bedside table. The minimalist composition allows the vintage racecar illustration to take center stage, making it equally decorative when displayed on its own.
Complete with its original presentation box, this uncommon Daniel Hechter piece is an appealing collectible for enthusiasts of vintage motorsport, automotive design, and designer tabletop accessories.

Who Are You Buying From?
Every object here has a journey before it ever reaches you. I've spent years seeking these pieces out, in back rooms of old ateliers, from families who've inherited more than they can keep, through dealers I've come to trust, in conversations with people who still work with their hands, because I've always believed the things we choose to live with should carry something true. What began as a private obsession became a devotion, one I now share with my wife and daughter, who remind me daily that the best collections are the ones built to be passed down, not simply owned. What you're holding isn't just an object. You're inheriting its story, and becoming part of its next chapter.
