A rare and poetic mid-century smoking set by Christofle, delicately engraved with a constellation of star motifs across each surface. This complete set includes a cigarette holder, ashtray, and matchbox holder—each executed in silver plate and presented in its original fitted box.

Produced between 1951 and 1971, this design reflects a moment when everyday objects were elevated through subtle ornament and impeccable craftsmanship. The scattered star pattern lends a quiet sense of movement and atmosphere, transforming functional pieces into something almost celestial.

Christofle’s longstanding collaboration with the Compagnie Générale Transatlantique—notably for the interiors of the legendary SS Normandie—situates pieces like this within a broader tradition of refined travel and luxury design. While some examples were specially commissioned, this set stands as a pure expression of the model.
