A striking carved lapis dish by Christian Dior, showcasing richly saturated cobalt and ultramarine tones with natural mineral variation throughout the stone. Smoothly polished with an organic oval form, the dish highlights the dramatic depth and texture that make lapis lazuli one of the most sought-after decorative stones in luxury interiors.

Elegant in its simplicity, the piece reflects Dior’s refined approach to decorative objects balancing bold materiality with understated form. The vivid marbling and natural inclusions create a painterly surface that shifts beautifully under light.

Perfectly scaled for use as a vide-poche, jewelry dish, or sculptural tabletop accent.

Collectors Notes

Lapis has long been associated with luxury, royalty, and decorative arts dating back centuries, and this piece captures that timeless appeal in a distinctly modern way. The natural variation in the stone gives every angle a different visual rhythm, making it feel almost celestial in appearance.

Smaller carved stone objects like this are incredibly versatile — equally compelling on a desk, bedside table, powder room counter, or layered into a cocktail vignette. It’s the kind of object that quietly elevates a space without demanding attention.

An exceptional addition for collectors of Dior home objects, carved stone accessories, or richly textured decorative pieces.

It's a fitting addition to our Home Decor collection, and a celestial Housewarming Gifts pick.

Who Are You Buying From?

Every object here has a journey before it ever reaches you. I've spent years seeking these pieces out, in back rooms of old ateliers, from families who've inherited more than they can keep, through dealers I've come to trust, in conversations with people who still work with their hands, because I've always believed the things we choose to live with should carry something true. What began as a private obsession became a devotion, one I now share with my wife and daughter, who remind me daily that the best collections are the ones built to be passed down, not simply owned. What you're holding isn't just an object. You're inheriting its story, and becoming part of its next chapter.
