A quietly architectural storage box defined by its rhythmic bronze detailing and restrained form. The exterior is anchored by a continuous band of tightly coiled spirals—each one hand-formed, creating a sense of movement that contrasts beautifully with the otherwise clean, rectilinear silhouette.

Finished in a darkened bronze tone with warm undertones, the surface carries a subtle patina that speaks to age and handling. The lid opens to reveal a cedar-lined interior, divided into two compartments—an intentional and practical detail, originally designed to protect and store contents with care.

There’s a certain discipline to the design—decorative, but measured. The repetition of the spiral motif feels almost classical, while the overall composition leans modern in its simplicity.

Collectors Notes

Boxes like this occupy a unique space—functional objects that often become deeply personal over time. The cedar lining suggests it may have originally been intended for cigars or keepsakes, but its use today is far more open.

Equally suited for a desk, bar, or bedside, it can house anything from watches and jewelry to letters or small personal artifacts. The scale and presence also make it a strong standalone piece—something that doesn’t need to be filled to be appreciated.

A thoughtful object for those drawn to materiality and repetition in design—where even the smallest detail has been considered.

It's a fitting addition to our Home Decor collection, and a considered Housewarming Gifts pick.

Who Are You Buying From?

Every object here has a journey before it ever reaches you. I've spent years seeking these pieces out, in back rooms of old ateliers, from families who've inherited more than they can keep, through dealers I've come to trust, in conversations with people who still work with their hands, because I've always believed the things we choose to live with should carry something true. What began as a private obsession became a devotion, one I now share with my wife and daughter, who remind me daily that the best collections are the ones built to be passed down, not simply owned. What you're holding isn't just an object. You're inheriting its story, and becoming part of its next chapter.
