A striking expression of early 20th-century design, this Art Deco ashtray pairs substantial stone with sculptural bronze in a way that feels both architectural and intimate.

The circular bowl is carved from a richly veined marble—its surface carrying natural variations in tone, from soft blush to deeper mineral flecks. Surrounding it, four cast bronze rests rise at measured intervals-two for matchboxes and two for cigar rests, each with a stylized profile relief that nods to the period’s fascination with classical and geometric forms.

The composition is deliberate: weight anchored in the stone, rhythm introduced through the bronze elements. It’s less an object of utility, more a study in balance and material contrast.
