A striking example of Murano glassmaking by Alfredo Barbini, this hand blown bottle decanter pairs a rounded, organic silhouette with the kind of clarity and depth of color that made Barbini one of the most respected names to come out of the Venetian glass tradition. The form reads as both sculptural and functional, equally compelling displayed empty as it is holding a single stem or dried branch.
Barbini trained in the Murano furnaces from a young age and went on to found his own workshop, becoming known for pushing traditional glassblowing techniques toward bolder, more architectural forms. This bottle vase reflects that sensibility, its clean lines and confident proportions feeling distinctly of the 1970s while remaining timeless in appeal.
Measuring 8 1/4" high by 6 1/4" wide by 3 1/2" deep, the vase has real presence without being overly large, making it easy to place on a console, shelf, or dining table. The quality of the glass itself, its clarity, weight, and the evenness of its blown form, speaks to the level of craft behind the piece.
A genuinely collectible piece of Italian glass design, well suited to collectors of Murano glass or anyone drawn to mid-century Italian decorative arts.

Who Are You Buying From?
Every object here has a journey before it ever reaches you. I've spent years seeking these pieces out, in back rooms of old ateliers, from families who've inherited more than they can keep, through dealers I've come to trust, in conversations with people who still work with their hands, because I've always believed the things we choose to live with should carry something true. What began as a private obsession became a devotion, one I now share with my wife and daughter, who remind me daily that the best collections are the ones built to be passed down, not simply owned. What you're holding isn't just an object. You're inheriting its story, and becoming part of its next chapter.
