A striking faceted box with a distinctive elongated, coffret shaped silhouette, its angular hexagonal ends tapering to a point on either side. The body is finished in a black stone, giving the surface a rich, glossy depth, while silver plated metal and nickel mounts wrap the corners and edges, adding both structure and a cool metallic contrast to the dark body.
A tab style clasp at the hinged lid, which lifts to reveal a dark interior suited to store jewelry, letters, or other small keepsakes. The box stands on short bracket feet, a detail that lends it a slightly architectural quality.
The combination of dark surfaces and patinated metal banding is a hallmark of confident early to mid twentieth century decorative design, where material contrast did much of the visual work. Measuring 6 x 4 1/8 x 2 7/8", the box has real horizontal presence, making it a strong choice for a desk, dresser, or console.
A well proportioned and materially rich piece, ideal for collectors of Art Deco style boxes or anyone drawn to strong geometric form paired with dark, lustrous surfaces.

Who Are You Buying From?
Every object here has a journey before it ever reaches you. I've spent years seeking these pieces out, in back rooms of old ateliers, from families who've inherited more than they can keep, through dealers I've come to trust, in conversations with people who still work with their hands, because I've always believed the things we choose to live with should carry something true. What began as a private obsession became a devotion, one I now share with my wife and daughter, who remind me daily that the best collections are the ones built to be passed down, not simply owned. What you're holding isn't just an object. You're inheriting its story, and becoming part of its next chapter.
